Marienplatz*

Master planning for a central plaza in Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and design of urban furniture, stairs, handrails, lamps and a fountain. The task included integration of a subway station underneath the plaza and connection with the tram station on the plaza level. The two glass elevator towers and the large roof of the reconstructed tram station are the defining elements of the plaza.
